First, a big thank you to everyone who voted to support public transportation in 2020. Voters approved 92% of public transit ballot measures in 2020 in both primaries and the general election.
You can read a recap of the election and what it means for public transportation in our latest blog.
The bottom line is that it is time for Congress to notice that…
We need Congress to do more in 2021 than notice that voters support expanded and improved public transportation. We need Congress to take action. We’ll be calling on lawmakers to support COVID-19 emergency funding as soon as possible—and then to provide long-term funding for public transportation that benefits our entire nation.
We hope you’ll continue to be engaged with Voices for Public Transit in 2021. We can make a difference when we make our voices heard.
Thank you,
Chad Chitwood Voices for Public Transit Community Coordinator
