Nottingham is marking World Car Free Day by turning a city street into a pop-up park.
This year Heathcoat Street in Hockley will be turned into a pop-up park for the day with plants, seating and activities to show what a difference removing cars from an urban environment can make.
A collaboration of local artists and organisations promoting cycling will create a pop-up playground with games, bikes and street art so theres something for everyone to get involved with.

Plant Blindness

Plant Blindness is a unique and immersive sound installation.
The installation comprises four recordings one from each flower bed. Together they capture the different moods of the plant at various points during the day.

As part of Heritage Open Days, there will be live performances of Plant Blindness inside the Camellia House between 11am and 3pm.

Back for its 39th year, the Ikano Bank Robin Hood Marathon Events return to the streets of the city with something for runners old and new, speedy or sedate. All will receive a medal to be proud of, waiting for them at the finish.
Saturday sees the Robin Hood Mile Challenge which is a series of fun and inclusive one mile races for everyone to enjoy. The following day, the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon events take place.
