Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday, and we have a challenge grant to match!
Alliance for a Green Economy has received an offer of $2,500, provided we can match it with $2,500 in new donations. New donations include contributions from people who have not donated to AGREE before and contributions from people who donate an amount greater than their previous donation.
#GivingTuesday provides another opportunity for matching funds. If someone donates to Renee's, Lindsay's or Andra's fundraiser promptly at 8am Tuesday, Dec 1, their donation could help AGREE claim some of Facebook's #GivingTuesday funds. (The funds go within minutes, but it's fun to try!)
We are asking each of you to join us in meeting this challenge opportunity. We invite you to get to know us a little better by taking a look at the staff fundraisers for AGREE, and we hope you'll share the links with your friends so they can learn about AGREE's work too. Let them know AGREE does very much with very little, revealing and changing the systems and policies that impede climate action, helping folks have a voice in places that seem designed to keep them out, and working with brilliant allies fiercely dedicated to a just transition to a renewable energy economy.
When we all pull together, we can accomplish a lot. Tomorrow and all through December (because #GivingTuesday is a catalyst, not a deadline), with your networking help, we are going to pull in $2,500 of new donations and earn that challenge grant!
Our members and followers have always taken a big role in moving New York toward a green energy economy. In this complicated and uncertain year, we need you more than ever. We are so grateful for your support in all its forms!
