Dear John,
What. A. Year.
Eight months ago we held a virtual Town Hall so that we could hold space for all of us, and especially family caregivers, struggling with the pandemic. COVID, and the stay-at-home orders and social distancing that came with it, was still very new to us then, and we were all still figuring out how to navigate this really difficult and unfamiliar terrain. We’re all, for better or worse, a lot more familiar with social distancing and isolation now.
This Thursday at 5 p.m. ET we’re holding a Leading with Care Town Hall on our Facebook Live to show what things could be like with leaders who care about building a care infrastructure that supports all of us.
RSVP now to save your space for our Leading with Care Town Hall on Thursday >>
We know what it means to care for each other as a community. We know what it feels like when our government fails to support us. We know unspeakable loss, and we also know new ways to be together as families, neighbors, and communities.
We have an incredibly exciting line up of panelists for the Leading with Care Town Hall — our founder and director Ai-jen Poo, Representative elect Jamaal Bowman, Fatima Goss Graves of National Women’s Law Center, Nicole Jorwic of The Arc, and Wendy Chun-Hoon from Family Values @ Work. And there are more panelists to be confirmed!
We can’t wait to share space with you and look toward 2021, a year when care is back on the agenda. Our Town Hall will also feature family caregivers, home care workers, and recipients of home and community based services sharing their experiences during this crisis and their hopes for the future of caregiving.
And, since times are so tough for so many of us, as an added bonus, everyone who RSVPs for the event will be entered to win a $50 prepaid Visa gift card! Use it to help with holiday presents, a special meal, a treat for yourself — or whatever you need.
RSVP to the Leading with Care Town Hall and be entered to win a giftcard for $50!
With care,
