We're just now learning how top officials at the Department of Homeland Security reacted to my June 2018 visit to the border that blew the lid off the child separation and detention scandal.
In emails just discovered by a watchdog organization, Trump's Homeland Security officials called it "some sort of stunt".
The fact that they see oversight by Congress as a "stunt" says it all. To them, children are pawns and nobody should ask any questions.
Well, I'm sorry if they don't like me asking questions, but they better get used to it. Because let me be clear: Their treatment of children is cruel. It is inhumane. And I will never, ever stop fighting to stop Donald Trump on this evil policy.
