Friend, I don’t know if you’ve noticed… but November is already almost over!

I wanted to reach out and give you a quick update on our $50,000 #GivingTuesday goal and ask you to chip in if you haven’t yet. But first, can I explain why this is so important?

First: We saw A TON of enthusiasm when we announced our $50,000 #GivingTuesday goal. Folks were chipping in whatever they could — $5, $50, $500. I really thought we were well on our way to hitting this important goal with plenty of time to spare.

Then: Donations slowed down… a lot.

Now: We’re only a little more than 24 hours out from our #GivingTuesday deadline and we still have $35,968 to go before we hit our $50,000 goal.

Here are UWDA, we’re leading the movement to empower immigrants and undocumented people to use their voices and stories to advocate for a brighter future for us all.

Together, we’ve made incredible progress so far. And as the new presidential administration comes in, we have a lot of work to do to ensure that our immigrant communities can thrive. But together I know we can accomplish our big goals like:

• Demanding immediate protections for our people, starting with the reinstatement and expansion of DACA and TPS.
  
  

• Demanding immigrants be a crucial part of COVID-19 relief and recovery, which should include a pathway to citizenship for all immigrants.
  
  

• Demanding a moratorium on enforcement, the release of immigrants held in ICE and CBP detention camps and their closure; and the right of people to come home who have been deported
  
  

• Demanding the defunding of ICE, CBP and police, including the end to collaboration between these forces.

That’s why I’m asking: can you make a donation of any amount today to United We Dream Action in honor of #GivingTuesday? Anything you can contribute makes a difference.

When we set these goals, it’s because we’ve run the numbers and we know exactly what we’ll need to fund the projects that are so critical to demanding better for our people.
