Dear Friends,

I can’t tell you enough how much your support has meant to me. Because of people like you, and a fantastic campaign team, I won re-election in one of the most competitive battleground districts in the country.

With your help, we were also able to hold onto our Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, but only by a few seats.

Now, as you've probably already heard, national Republicans are strategizing how to retake the majority in 2022, and targeting my seat is part of that strategy.

I know that everyone has donor fatigue from this last election cycle, and I hate to ask. But we also know that going forward, my campaign must show financial strength, to deter potential Republican candidates from deciding to run against me.

Honestly, I want to spend my time working on policy issues, not dialing for dollars for the next two years. The best way to accomplish that is to raise money early, so that I can hit the ground running in January when we start the 117th session of Congress. With that goal in mind, we are asking people who have previously invested in my race if they would be willing to be founding donors of our 2022 campaign.

Our first deadline of the next election cycle is tonight. Will you donate before midnight to become one of our very first 2022 founding donors?
