This bill stops something as simple as a zip code from determining a child’s future.
Research shows that children who have the opportunity to choose the schooling that’s best for them graduate at a higher rate than the students who are bound by their zip code to failing schools. Opponents to school choice often point to the loss of funding to public schools, but conservatives understand that children and their parents know how best to utilize funding to place the student in the right school for their situation.
This law in Ohio is another step in the right direction to better prepare our nation’s youth for their futures. Every state should follow suit.
