In case you haven’t heard, tomorrow is #GivingTuesday. Every year, long after the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are over, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to invest funds in causes that matter to us. #GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that aims to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world by doing good. I hope you can participate in #GivingTuesday, and that you will keep our students top of mind. Your support will no doubt help them on their journey to earning their college degrees, but it will also help transform our communities here in Los Angeles.
The current pandemic has exacerbated gaps in educational support and the resulting achievement gaps. A college education is still the best chance at upward mobility.
