Greetings -- I hope that you all had a nice Thanksgiving weekend and some time to relax.

Coronavirus cases across the country are spiking again, and we must do what we can to take care of ourselves, our loved ones, our friends, and our neighbors.

At the state and local levels, new safety restrictions and health guidelines have been put in place in an effort to get the virus under control. And at the federal level, I want to assure you that I am continuing to champion an effective, comprehensive response plan.

As a member of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis and the Chairwoman of Oversight, I remain committed to fighting for meaningful relief for Americans from all angles — including demanding transparency on affordable vaccines, pushing for stimulus packages, protecting the USPS, providing financial aid to essential workers, supporting child care, and more.

Recently, we had a hearing in the Financial Services Committee regarding my Pandemic Risk Insurance Act — a bill that would help protect against economic losses from future pandemics by creating and providing federal funding for insurance policies that cover pandemics. And I will continue fighting for meaningful relief at the federal level.

You can do your part by following the safety recommendations advised by top medical experts and scientists to reduce the spread of the virus. This includes social distancing, avoiding group gatherings, wearing a mask, frequent handwashing, and overall diligence.

We're in this together, and we'll get through this together.
