Don’t forget the 350 Fairfax general meeting on Thursday, December 3, at 7:30 pm! This is what’s on the agenda:

Learn: Lee Williams, co-director of the Green New Deal Virginia coalition, will walk us through the suite of Green New Deal bills we’ll see during the 2021 legislative session. These bills, together with the 2021 Green New Deal Act, represent the boldest climate legislation package the state has yet seen. They cover the gamut from transitioning to renewable energy, creating jobs, and electrifying transportation to securing social and economic justice, bolstering democratic governance, and incentivizing sustainable agriculture.
Discuss: After Lee shares the details of the bills, we’ll chat through some ideas for advocating for them during the super short, 30-day, virtual General Assembly session this January. How can we best flex our citizen lobbying muscle in this new, entirely online space?
Act: There is always someone to call in the month before the legislative session! We’ll invite everyone to write emails, make calls, tweet, and join Zoom meetings with our legislators.
