Not once did I ever imagine I'd run for U.S. Senate. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth - not even close. I had 11 brothers and sisters and grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia. From there, I went on to earn a college degree and worked my way up to serving as the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church.

Now, our people-powered movement has forced the GOP into a runoff election, and I could be weeks away from becoming Georgia's first-ever Black senator. But the opportunities that made my journey possible, from Kayton Homes to Dr. King's pulpit, are growing further and further out of reach for too many people across this country. The stakes have never been higher, friend: Experts from CBS News to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight confirm that Senate control will be decided in Georgia - and that without a Democratic majority, President Biden will have NO chance to enact our bold, progressive agenda.

If we lose in Georgia, Democrats lose our last and only shot at taking back the Senate. But with polls showing this race neck and neck, Mitch McConnell and his national Republican allies are pouring $100 MILLION in to crush our momentum - on top of the $23 million of her own money that my extremist opponent is spending to keep this seat red.
