John,
I don't know about you, but this pandemic has been TOUGH. But then I think about the heroes working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic -- working in nursing homes, disinfecting and cleaning our homes, caring for our children -- who have been left behind in support and relief.
And then I get mad. Because the people risking their own families' health and safety to care for us and our families through this pandemic haven't been cared for themselves.
Domestic workers are literally having to choose between paying for food or paying the rent right now, so when the National Domestic Workers Alliance asked if I could help, I said "Yas!"
Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving created to follow Black Friday with an outpouring of support for nonprofit organizations like the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
The National Domestic Workers Alliance has set a goal to raise $20,000 and I'm pitching in to help them get there. So will you join me and support NDWA with a $25 donation?
If you've saved your payment information with FastAction, your donation will go through immediately.
This is personal to me. I have a really good friend who used to be one of my beauty school instructors. She stopped teaching beauty school and got into the care industry, and now works at a home for developmentally different adults who need extra support.
Thinking about her, I'm reminded how care workers, nannies, and house cleaners don't just help make our lives gorgeous: *they ARE gorgeous*. It's a national shame that they haven't been cared for while they’ve been caring for all of us on the frontlines of the pandemic.
That's why the National Domestic Workers Alliance is AMAZING -- since the pandemic started they’ve stepped in to help domestic workers with direct support, PPE, and push for government relief.
They need our help to care for those who so selflessly give to us. So ahead of Giving Tuesday, will you help them hit their goal of $20,000 and make an $25 donation today?
There's so many ways we need to support each other now more than ever. So, let's all join together to help the people who care for us.
Have a gorgeous day,
Jonathan Van Ness
