[link removed] [[link removed]]I hope you had a relaxing long weekend, John.
I'm reaching out to remind you that tomorrow is #GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity that encourages people to make investments in the organizations that serve their communities. #GivingTuesday is one of the most important fundraising days for re:power -- what you do today could determine whether or not we have the resources for the work ahead. In just a bit I'm going to ask you to support re:power [[link removed]] , but I first want you to take a moment and think about everything you want to see the progressive movement accomplish in 2021 and beyond .
My vision for the coming years? It's laser focused on growing the power of communities of color, especially women of color, queer and trans folks, and the poor and working class. People shut out of traditional halls of power for too long. People on the frontlines of criminal and immigrant justice movements, and fighting to protect our reproductive rights, and saving our planet. People who realize that the current system doesn't work, and know that we have to find ways to make quality education, healthcare, and housing accessible to everyone.
I am dreaming a big and bold dream for what our country and politics could look like - daring to look beyond one election. To help make this vision a reality, re:power is expanding our trainings in 2021. I'm personally asking you to partner with us on this critical work by investing in our efforts. We need to raise $10,000 on #GivingTuesday to ensure we are able to sustain our trainings. Help us get a head start on this important fundraising campaign by chipping in at least $10 today [[link removed]] .

Your investment today will allow us to expand our efforts to [[link removed]] : [[link removed]]
- Inspire and train community leaders to run for office grounded in their values of justice;
- Develop technology skill building and training around digital organizing, digital security, and data and analytics for grassroots campaigns;
- Support elected officials to move bold agendas for racial, gender, and economic justice;
- Support state-level efforts to keep our courts fair and balanced.
2020 proved that we are unstoppable when we come together. I find strength in the leaders and movements making history and headlines. I find hope in the faces of the hundreds of leaders we’ve trained across the country this year, who chose to boldly run for office or lead campaigns as managers, organizers, data or digital directors. It has been our honor at re:power to do this work and support these leaders, and we hope that you continue to invest in us as we continue to build the progressive movement [[link removed]] .
Thanks for all that you do,
Karundi Williams
Executive Director
