Just like the rest of the country, our Texas Democratic movement is in a time of transition. Over the next month or two, we'll be inviting every Democrat -- from volunteers, party leaders, candidates, elected officials, and anyone who chipped in a few bucks -- to participate in a debrief process to capture every reflection, good idea and constructive critique from this past cycle.

Then, we'll start mapping out our work for the next two years: supporting the Biden-Harris administration, passing legislation that puts Texas families first, electing Democrats at the local level, and gearing up to defeat Greg Abbott in 2022.

Thanks to your work over this past election, we're in a really, really strong position to kick all of this off. Like, historically strong. We built a movement the likes of which our state has never seen -- a volunteer army fighting for progress, driven by the duty to take care of each other and be stewards of our state's future.

Hi,

Well y'all, it's been a hell of an election season. We ran flat out and full tilt to save our state and our country -- and we came closer than ever to turning Texas blue. 5.2 million Texas Democrats joined our neighbors around the country to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our next president and vice-president.

After all that sprinting, I'd say it's time for some well-deserved rest. So however you celebrated this Thanksgiving, I hope you got to kick back and take it all in. Because whether you volunteered, donated, got the word out, or got your community to the polls, you've sure as hell earned a victory lap (or nap).

Competent, compassionate leadership is coming back to the White House. That's because millions and millions of people rose up and organized and used the power of their vote. And a whole lot of that uprising and organizing happened right here in Texas.

These past few months showed us what can happen when we own our power. We built an earthshaking movement of many hands working towards a single goal: saving our state and our country. Now, the trick is to keep that powerhouse alive and kicking for the fights to come.

That's where you come in. Because the heart of this movement is you. And we'll go exactly as far as all of us can dream and are willing to work.
