Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, and it’s an important day for CURE Epilepsy. Our goal is to raise $50,000 which will directly support the research that we fund to end seizures and epilepsy. And this year, we’re doing something a bit different. This big day will be brought to you by the next generation of epilepsy researchers and advocates, who will someday pick up the mantle in advancing CURE Epilepsy’s mission of funding research to find a cure for epilepsy.

CURE Epilepsy’s Education Enrichment Fund (EEF) scholarship recipients will be bringing you a day of giving and engagement for the entire family that you don’t want to miss:
* At 11 a.m. CST: To kickoff Infantile Spasms Awareness Week we will hear from Dr. Chris Dulla of Tufts University as he talks about his groundbreaking infantile spasms research, funded by CURE Epilepsy. Dr. Dulla will be interviewed on Facebook by EEF scholar Nolan Wu. Catch the interview on Facebook ([link removed]) at 11 a.m. CST.

* At 1 p.m. CST: Lindsay Sledge, a 2020 CURE Epilepsy EEF scholar, will share her story of unrelenting determination to advocate for her child with epilepsy and drive to find a cure. You can catch this on any of our social media channels linked below.

* At 3 p.m. CST: We invite your entire family to join us for a virtual book reading by Mariah Mayhugh, a 2019 CURE Epilepsy EEF Scholar, author of Mimi: A Story About Absence Seizures. This uplifting children’s story will delight the whole epilepsy community, especially families with children who have been diagnosed with epilepsy. Join us live on Facebook ([link removed]) .

Giving Tuesday is critical to CURE Epilepsy’s ability to fund groundbreaking research. Here is how you can help us reach our $50,000 goal to support finding a cure for this devastating condition:
1. Make a tax-deductible gift on our website ([link removed])
2. Create your own Facebook fundraiser and engage your community ([link removed]) in your passion for finding a cure for epilepsy.
3. Spread the word - share our social media posts on Instagram ([link removed]) and Facebook ([link removed]) throughout the day with your network.

With gratitude,

Beth Lewin Dean, CEO
