This #GivingTuesday, help protect incarcerated youth from COVID-19 by making a donation to The Sentencing Project. The pandemic is spreading in the places our nation’s children are confined, and so far over 2,300 have been infected. They are alone; wondering if they might die without seeing their loved ones again. With your support we are doing something about it. From the beginning of the pandemic, we identified and documented the crisis in youth detention facilities across the country. And, we developed solutions and public officials are paying attention. Fewer children are being incarcerated and hundreds are being returned safely to their families. More detention facilities are testing and providing treatment. Tragically, the pandemic rages and the health of incarcerated youth remains in jeopardy. With your support we will get more kids home to their families. |
