Friend,
With the help from supporters ike you, we’re moving forward to decriminalize drugs and end the racist, inhumane drug war once and for all.
Give now to bring us closer to an end to this “drug” war that is really just a war on PEOPLE. Your donation will TRIPLE in value and TRIPLE in impact due to $150,000 in matching funds.
With the help of supporters like you in Oregon and our advocacy and political arm, Drug Policy Action, we achieved a historic, paradigm-shifting win this November with Measure 110 in Oregon, the nation’s first all-drug decriminalization measure. Measure 110 shifts the focus where it belongs--on people and public health--and removes one of the most common justifications for law enforcement to harass, arrest, prosecute, incarcerate, and deport people.
But drug possession is still the most arrested offense in the United States, with one arrest every 23 seconds. Our work will not be done until we end all drug possession arrests and other coercive responses, repair the damage done by expunging drug arrest records, stop wasting money on futile law enforcement strategies, and reinvest in communities harmed by racially targeted policing.
Friend, we couldn’t have gotten here without you. And now we need your support so we can continue to make big, bold moves.
