Donald Trump can’t run from the law forever.
While Trump’s Department of Justice may be unwilling to prosecute the president over his alleged federal crimes, including obstruction of justice, and his Treasury Department is more than happy to obstruct congressional investigations of the president, the District Attorney’s office in Manhattan is not sitting on their hands.
As part of the Manhattan DA’s investigation into hush money payments allegedly made by Trump and his businesses to former mistresses right before the 2016 election (likely illegal campaign contributions), they’ve subpoenaed eight years of Trump’s personal and business tax returns from his longtime accounting firm Mazars USA.
Even in the face of a legally binding subpoena, it will take massive public pressure to force Trump’s accounting firm to turn over tax returns that the president has, thus far, kept hidden from the American people. That’s why we’re turning up the heat on Mazars USA, demanding that they immediately turn over Trump’s personal and business tax returns.

Trump’s tax returns would shed light on years of alleged tax dodging documented in an investigative report by the New York Times, which ultimately led to the retirement of Trump’s older sister from the federal bench.[1][2]
Trump’s tax returns would shed light on shady overseas business dealings, including in countries such as Russia and Saudi Arabia where Trump’s foreign policy decisions raise major red flags as he cozies up to strongmen while alienating democracies worldwide.[3]
