It’s September 19th and our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is coming up! We know that we can reach our goal before the end of the month, but we need help to do it!

Here is why this race matters and why we are asking for your support:

1. Abigail’s seat is a “Toss Up”. We worked tirelessly to move this district from the “Solid Republican” seat it was when Abigail got in the race to the “Toss Up” it is today. As a candidate, a “Toss Up” race means you can win; as an incumbent, a “Toss Up” means your opponent thinks they can win, and we expect they will put everything they have into beating Abigail.
2. Abigail is one of the most vulnerable new members of Congress in the nation, and a top target of the Republican party, if they want to win back the majority.
3. The National Republican Campaign Committee is already spending money on Facebook ads to attack Abigail.
4. The right-wing SuperPAC “Club For Growth” is already eyeing candidates to prop up against Abigail, and their VP of Campaigns said the following of VA-07, “we will invest more money there than any House race in the history of the club.” Given Abigail’s vocal stance on campaign finance and good governance reforms, it is fair to expect that Dark Money groups will spend millions on TV commercials attacking Abigail in 2020, just as they did in 2018.

One of the best ways that we can discourage Washington insiders from attacking Abigail’s record of being an engaged legislator who fights for working families and represents everyone in her district, is to prove that we have a strong enough operation to fight back.
