------------------------------------------------------------

We hope you had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. As we mark the holiday season, we'd like to remind you to register for the American Courage Awards ([link removed]) ! This is Advancing Justice | AAJC's annual event that recognizes the extraordinary courage and commitment of leaders, organizations, and corporations to the cause of Asian American and Pacific Islander civil rights. To recognize the unprecedented year, we are presenting a new event format rather than our traditional programming. Of special focus in our programming will be our call-to-action on the spike of anti-Asian and anti-Asian American sentiment as a result of the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and our ongoing efforts in delivering on our mission.
REGISTER NOW ([link removed])
The event is FREE this year! We appreciate any contributions ([link removed]) you would like to make in advance or the night of the event to enable Asian Americans Advancing Justice - AAJC to continue protecting our communities and promoting civil and human rights for all. For further event details please contact: [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .
Meet Our Co-Emcees
Cary Chow

You might recognize Cary Chow as our emcee from previous American Courage Awards! Cary is a multi-platform content creator. He's a sports anchor/reporter at NBC Washington, a writer for ESPN's The Undefeated, a dad blogger, and is currently working on his first screenplay. A Murrow Award-winning journalist, Cary is the first Chinese American anchor to host ESPN’s SportsCenter. An advocate for the AAPI community, he's an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association, and directs a mentorship network for minorities interested in sports journalism.

Vicky Nguyen

Vicky Nguyen is an NBC News Investigative and Consumer Correspondent based in New York. She reports for all platforms of NBC News, including NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Today, NBCNews.com, and MSNBC. Nguyen has received numerous awards for her reporting, including a National Emmy, the Gerald Loeb Award for Business and Financial Journalism, and the duPont Columbia Award for Broadcast Journalism.

Make Our Signature Cocktail:
"It's Always Sunny When You're Advancing Justice"
During the event, we will have bartender Hung Nguyen show you how to make our official cocktail of the 2020 American Courage Awards, "It's Always Sunny When You're Advancing Justice," a version of a tequila sunrise. The shopping list is below and you can also make a non-alcoholic version. Get the ingredients you need in advance, and sit back and enjoy the show!
