Happy National Singles Week! If you’re single like me, it’s easy to feel overlooked in your family, your community and even your church, where being married and having kids are often painted as having “arrived.” We don’t need a special week to compensate for this, but we do need to pause and preach the truth to ourselves. God loves single people no less than marrieds, and He has just as many blessings and challenges for us, too. The question is: Will we live our single season joyfully and productively, trusting God for every moment of it? I’m determined to, and I hope you will, too. Besides, being single can be pretty cool. I did a quick video outlining six ways to be a cool single person. Have fun with it, act on a couple of the ideas, and own your singleness not just this week, but every day.
