[1]Bowman for Congress

John,

We'll be straightforward: if we are unable to grow our fundraising numbers
and sustain our campaign through the year, our movement could be left
vulnerable in the next election cycle.

We saw it with other members of the Squad in the 2020 election cycle with
AOC, Ilhan, and Rashida. After they won their seats in 2018, many
questioned whether or not they'd be able to win again and faced challenges
from Republican and political establishment insurgents who raised millions
of dollars and unleashed attack ads.

And while AOC, Ilhan, and Rashida managed to win re-election, the fact
still remains: 88% of congressional races were won by the candidate who
raised more money. And with the Democratic Party having lost seats in the
House this time around, our opponents and the political establishment will
keep an even closer eye on our movement to see if we can keep up.

That's why we need to work — starting now — to build up a
grassroots-funded warchest. The best way to do that is with monthly
contributions.

[ [link removed] ]John, we
rely on every dollar that comes through the door to power our movement —
and as Jamaal heads into his first term of Congress, it's the single best
way to ensure our movement is sustainable and continues to grow. Will you
start a monthly contribution of $3, $5, or even $10 today?
