We're going to get real with you for a second, John.

We've sent more than 30 fundraising emails since November 3rd. And we're not going to stop until we've seen this election through to the end.

This is another one of those emails. We promise we'll tell you just why we're emailing so much, but first -- can you pitch in $5 to our recount fund right now?

Now, you might wonder why we've asked for your contributions so often -- after all, the elections are supposed to be over by now.

Ours simply isn't. And yes, we are more than a little tired. This is like a sprint after a marathon election.

We don't yet have a result here in CA-25 -- the count has been drawn out by incredibly close margins, and we'll continue counting ballots through tomorrow. So for the last month, we've had to keep paying critical campaign expenses that we didn't plan for.

And all this time, we haven't been able to run Facebook and Google ads, a key way for us to bring in grassroots dollars.

Facebook and Google banned political ads just before November 3rd, and they still haven't allowed them to go back up. That's a real liability for a campaign like ours, since we've still got bills to pay.

And let's be clear: It harms Democratic candidates, who often raise more money online and through smaller donations than their Republican opponents -- who have no problem accepting big corporate PAC checks to fund their campaigns.

That's why we've had to ask so many times already, and why we have to ask for your help right now. We're truly counting on supporters like you to step up and chip in through these emails.

Please, pitch in $5 -- or whatever you can -- to keep this team going strong for as long as it takes to bring home a victory for CA-25.
