Hello,

According to POLITICO, Biden's transition team is carrying out a "purge of officials closely tied to [Trump's] handling of the pandemic" -- and Dr. Deborah Birx might be next.

As Trump's coronavirus coordinator, Dr. Birx has spoken out against the administration's herd immunity approach to the pandemic and consistently pleaded with Trump officials to adhere to guidelines such as mask wearing and take "much more aggressive action" to empower Americans "with the knowledge and data for decision-making to prevent community spread and save lives."

Although Dr. Birx is supported by longtime public health officials like Dr. Fauci and worked as Barack Obama's global AIDS coordinator, Biden's team believes her credibility has been "permanently eroded" by her work with the Trump administration.

Dr. Birx's experience on the front lines of the pandemic could be invaluable as we move into the most challenging period of the crisis, but many Americans agree with Biden and think we need a completely fresh slate from Trump's tenure. That's why today, we need to know where Democrats stand on this issue. Please, tell us what you think:

Should Dr. Birx be on Biden's coronavirus team?
