Together, we proudly demanded change, and then made it happen. But we know change means different things to different people.
We believe that a progressive economic and racial justice platform can only benefit each and every American as the country faces multiple challenges at once. Facilitating hazard pay for essential workers, reallocating resources from over-policing to public education and social services, expanding access to health care, increasing Social Security benefits, ensuring that the ultra-rich pay their fair share, investing in clean energy to create jobs -- this is the path forward.
But according to the GOP, and even some Democrats, believing in that promise of progress makes you a “radical leftist” or even a “socialist” and therefore a threat to a system that has only worked against the interests of everyday Americans.
We proudly stand with Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has said that “bold policies to improve opportunity for all Americans are broadly popular … these reforms are necessary to fix what is broken in our nation.” But today, we need to know where Democrats like you stand:
