Dear John,
This summer, Annette and I were honored to be named Grassroots Leadership’s co-Executive Directors. We know we are building on a legacy of organizing.
Over the years, Grassroots Leadership has led efforts to:
- Close troubled prisons and immigration jails
- Organize with families separated at the border
- Advocate for Travis County’s first adult Public Defender’s Office
- Help pass Austin’s model Freedom City policy
- Stop the privatization of the state hospital system
- Ensure in-person visitation in Texas jails, and strengthened fair chance hiring policies
But we know our work is just beginning. We hope that you continue to support our work.
