Today is “Long Beach Gives”, the biggest community fundraising campaign ever in our city’s history. It’s a great way to make a positive impact in Long Beach, and I hope you’ll consider participating with a donation to Long Beach Gives or an organization of your choice by clicking here.

Long Beach has 24 hours to raise $350,000 for local nonprofits, and your donations will be matched by local sponsors, increasing the power of your gift. Any donation, large or small, helps.

More than 75 nonprofits are participating in “Long Beach Gives”, and I want to thank the Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation and its director Julie Meenan for leading this effort. The agencies that will receive donations work on a wide variety of issues, including animal rescue, arts, education, youth, housing and homeless services.
