Hi there,
I hope you had a safe and meaningful Thanksgiving full of warmth and gratitude. Like so many others, our family kept it small this year to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Tom, Ben, Meg and I enjoyed one another's company and dropped food off to some of our extended family who, in a more typical year, would have been with us to carve the turkey.
But COVID-19 has done much more than disrupted our Thanksgiving traditions. It has turned life upside down for restaurant workers, small business owners, and so many more. That's why this year, I encourage you to shop small and support New Hampshire's many talented entrepreneurs and local businesses.
WMUR has pulled together a searchable list of small businesses and crafters - and if your place of work isn't on there, you can get in touch with them to have it added. Click here to give it a read.
If you're holiday shopping this Small Business Saturday (or any day), please consider doing it locally.
Happy holidays and stay safe.
With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
