For four years, the Trump administration did everything it could to strip away the rights of anyone who fought so hard to get them. From women to immigrants to LGBTQ+ Americans, it prided itself on rolling back rights and progress instead of focusing on the threats facing working Americans.
Now, the Trump administration is on its way out, but its harmful policies remain. Underrepresented groups still don't have the rights they deserve and it's on us to stand up and demand them.

As the first Puerto Rican woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, I had to fight against Republican-led discrimination to get where I am today. And even now, there are still Republicans in office who think it's their duty to strip critical rights away from underrepresented Americans, like those with disabilities and people of color. That's why it's so important that we fight back as hard as we can.
