I hope you had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving, even if it looked a little different this year. 2020 has given us so many challenges, but right now we have an important opportunity to make the world a better place.
Over the next few days, my team and I will be reaching out to you with a few requests before a critical milestone. Can I have a moment to explain why our deadline is so important?
Right now, Giffords is focusing on two different priorities. The first is supporting the two Senate runoffs in Georgia. If they win, we will take back the Senate. The second is looking at what comes next in 2021 and how we can keep up the momentum to pass universal background checks in this new Congress.
With the Georgia Senate runoffs just over a month away, it's never been more important that we have your support. It's going to take a lot of resources and a big team to win in Georgia and continue our efforts to pass laws that will save lives.
Something you may not know is that the overwhelming majority of the donations we receive come from emails just like this. So before our November fundraising deadline comes to an end, I have to ask:

With a Democratic majority in the House and Joe Biden in the White House, all that's left is flipping the Senate and we will finally have the support we need to pass universal background checks.
We are so incredibly close to achieving our goal, so we can't slow down now. We have to keep pushing until we can finally make our communities safer from gun violence. So let's keep up the hard work!
