Yesterday, Donald Trump confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will raid immigrant communities across the country this weekend.
These raids place thousands of undocumented people and their families in danger of imprisonment or deportation - which, for many of them means returning to the dangerous environments they fled in the first place.
It's a horrible plan, rooted in the cruelty and racism that defines this administration's immigration "policy."
We can't stay on the sidelines while Donald Trump runs roughshod over American values and basic human rights.
Here is critical information to know going into this weekend:
*Know your rights. Everyone has rights in this country, regardless of immigration status. Defending those rights is key to protecting yourself and those you care about. Visit the National Immigration Law Center for more information.

*Support the organizations on the front lines. We've identified a group of nonprofits making a difference on the ground by providing legal and humanitarian aid to immigrant communities. So far, our movement has raised close to $10,000 to defend our communities - that's the power of grassroots support. Please contribute now to support their work as Trump steps up his rhetoric and abuse.

Trump's been terrorizing immigrant families with the threat of ICE raids for weeks, only to call them off at the last minute. Make no mistake: those abrupt changes and the will-he-or-won't-he fear are all part of Donald Trump's plan to make sure migrant and refugee families do not feel safe in our country.
We have the power to protect our communities, to restore some of the safety that Trump is actively trying to undermine, but we need your help.
Stand with me! Chip in to support the organizations on the front lines of the fight for human rights.
