This Monday is our first fundraising deadline since the 2020 election, and though we beat Donald Trump and replaced him with Joe Biden, we still have our work cut out for us.

The damage this president has wrought over the past four years is immeasurable. First and foremost, we have to tackle this deadly pandemic and bring it to an end.

But we also have to address the issues that have long been impacting Americans, like making healthcare more affordable and accessible, helping working families and struggling small businesses, taking bold action on climate change, passing comprehensive and compassionate immigration reform, taking concrete steps to prevent gun violence, and so much more.

None of that will come easy, especially if Mitch McConnell and the GOP hold their grip on the U.S. Senate. While we work to help flip both of Georgia’s Senate seats blue in the January runoff election, we need to prepare for the fights ahead too.

That’s why this Monday’s end-of-month fundraising deadline is crucial. It’s our first step to build the resources we need to keep fighting for the progressive change we deserve and stop the extreme agenda of Trump’s Republican enablers.
