As we get ready to welcome the newly elected leaders around our nation and to Washington, DC, we look forward to working with them to continue our mission of making America’s schools safer. We work with the people in charge. We will work with anyone who is willing to make schools safer. We focus on the pragmatic solutions that we know will help solve these issues. School violence is not a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It's an American problem, and we will bring our uniquely inclusive, non-partisan message to anyone willing to work to keep students and staff safe at school.

Dear supporters –

As we get ready to welcome the newly elected leaders around our nation and to Washington, DC, we look forward to working with them to continue our mission of making America’s schools safer.

We work with the people in charge. We will work with anyone who is willing to make schools safer. We focus on the pragmatic solutions that we know will help solve these issues. School violence is not a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It's an American problem, and we will bring our uniquely inclusive, non-partisan message to anyone willing to work to keep students and staff safe at school.

Stand with Parkland – The National Association of Families for Safe Schools congratulates the Biden/Harris ticket and all the winners of the 2020 election.

The bullets that killed our loved ones did not differentiate between political parties. The mass murder of children and teachers at school is a uniquely American problem. Both Democrats and Republicans are affected. We believe school safety is a non-partisan issue. That is why we strive to bring people together to capture the things we agree on and work together to find solutions to some of the more vexing issues.

We look forward to continuing to work with White House Administrations and with those elected leaders from both sides of the aisle who have supported our efforts to address the safety of all America’s students and teachers in school.

We would also like to congratulate Stand with Parkland’s endorsed candidates on their victories! Debbi Hixon (whose husband was killed in the Parkland massacre) won a seat on the Broward County School Board, Sheriff Gregory Tony won the election to retain his post as Broward County Sheriff, and Christine Hunschofsky’s election to the Florida State House of Representatives is finally official!

The murder of the students and teachers, vibrant souls, each with hopes and dreams, makes the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre a tragedy. A new documentary, Stop the Bleed, shines a light on the lives of victims and the untold stories surrounding this horrific event.

While we have accomplished so much this year, there is clearly more work to do. We will continue to advocate for school safety reforms with elected leaders on both sides of the aisle and on all levels of government to develop policies and enact laws that will help keep America’s students and staff safe at school.

Thank you,

– Stand with Parkland
