We send a number of fundraising emails, so we thought you deserved a quick explanation about why these messages are so important to our work.

You may not know this, but VoteVets was one of the largest outside spending organizations during the 2018 election cycle. That goes for Democratic organizations and Republicans.

And what you also may not know is that we are unique among others on that list in that almost ALL of our donations come from lots and lots of people giving small contributions. Most of them coming in response to emails like this one. We are very proud of that.

And those resources allow us to run ads and help elect progressive in tough states and tough districts in a way other Democratic groups can't.

So that means these emails are CRITICAL in funding our work, and that from time-to-time we have to ask:

Can you make a $3 contribution to VoteVets ahead of our critical FEC fundraising deadline? We cannot do this alone.

There are a lot of big races in 2020. Obviously we have to beat Trump, but it's critical we send veterans like Mark Kelly, Amy McGrath, Cal Cunningham and MJ Hegar to the Senate as well. That is our mission, and we need your help to get it done.
