** European Guidelines for Digital Youth Work Launched
------------------------------------------------------------
The European Guidelines are designed to inform and support the youth work sector and policy makers on Digital Youth Work. These Guidelines were developed by NYCI as part of a European Partnership www.digitalyouthwork.eu. ** One World Week 2019: mini-grants and more - get involved!

This year’s One World Week takes place from December 1^st to 8^th 2019. The theme is Climate Action and the Sustainable Development Goals. Youth Dialogue Survey
------------------------------------------------------------
We’re inviting young people aged 13 to 30 to contribute to this survey ([link removed]) as part of the Consultation phase of the ‘EU Youth Dialogue’. Consultations are currently happening across all of the EU member states on Creating opportunities for youth. It focuses on Quality Employment, Quality Youth Work and Opportunities for Rural Youth. ** Support the Climate Strike Movement!

On September 20th, we're filling the streets: on Friday the 15th of March 2019 1.6 million people took part in a global climate strike in more than 125 countries in more than 2,000 locations. In Ireland more than 15,000 young people took part in protests for urgent climate action. This September 20th, young people have asked adults to come out with them. Reflective Practice Group

The NYCI Equality and Intercultural Programme is looking for expressions of interest from youth workers interested in joining a Reflective Practice Group looking at: empathic listening, compassionate communication, and bringing these practices into our youth work and back to our youth work organisations.

** Plucky Girl Guide Leaders tackle Guiding’s ultimate challenge

Twelve Irish Girl Guides Leaders took part in Explorer Belt – Guiding’s ultimate challenge – in August. This involved hiking 180 kilometres over 10 days while carrying camping, cooking gear and supplies, completing 12 projects and surviving on just €3.25 a day. ** Love Not Hate Campaign for Hate Crime Legislation

ENAR are calling for the government to introduce hate crime legislation immediately, to protect people from various minorities in Ireland. They want to help break the silence on hate crime, encourage people to report racism and other hate attacks and to find effective ways to address it. Can you spot fake news?

Fill in this survey ([link removed] ) to help researchers develop new tools for identifying false stories. This survey was created by Dublin City University and Graz University of Technology to find out what factors influence people's ability to identify false stories. As part of the EU funded Provenance project, the results will inform the development of new tools to help people evaluate online content.
