I am about to ask you to make a contribution to help us reach key women voters in Georgia before the runoff. But first, I hope you’ll give me a moment to explain why your donation is critical right now.
At this time, we only have the resources to support two text banks to Georgia voters. Why?
During each text shift, our volunteers send between 350,000 - 400,000 individual texts, which costs around $50,000 just to send the messages alone. All of the volunteer shifts filled up within hours, which shows us that the volunteer capacity is there – we just need the resources to send more texts.
The deadline to register to vote in Georgia is December 7 and in-person voting begins December 14. Time is running out, and we need to make sure every Georgia voter knows these key dates.
We need to give this runoff election everything we have to maximize our chances of flipping the Senate and getting rid of Mitch McConnell’s gridlock on our government. We refuse to leave anything to chance.
Not only are we sending texts with Women’s March Action, we’ve partnered with SONG Power for “Knock your Block” COVID-safe canvasses in Georgia. We held our pilot canvas last weekend and we’re launching our full canvass program this Sunday. It was evident from the pilot that voters have a lot of questions around vote by mail, early voting, and more.
In the lead up to the general election, we sent 13 million individual text messages to women voters to ensure they knew how to vote safely and had a plan to vote. We have the tools and the volunteers to turn our entire GOTV operation toward Georgia, but we need your help.
The good news is that since we last emailed, hundreds of strong supporters like you pitched in. But we're still less than halfway there. If just one out of every five people reading this chipped in just $5, we’d reach our $50,000 goal by the end of today.
