Dear John,

I am sure your inbox is full of Black Friday bargains. Today, Amazon and other large retailers are slashing prices, offering up exclusive sales for members, and rush-delivering orders to homes around the country. None of this would be possible without working people, who continue to contend with low wages, while often working in unsafe and often horrid conditions inside massive warehouses. The demands are incredible–and only worsened by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Workers must find, pack, and ship high volume orders, while meeting shortening shipping deadlines promised by retailers.

It doesn't have to be that way and together, we can do something about it.

We have a unique opportunity to give power–to working people, and to our movement to fight for and with them: Generous donors have agreed to MATCH all donations dollar for dollar, because they see the potential we have when we come together and fight for working people. But, we can only activate this match if we reach 200 donations by the end of Giving Tuesday.    

We are working with our partners to hold Amazon accountable, forcing Amazon CEO–and world's wealthiest person–Jeff Bezos to testify before Congress on major issues like antitrust, while also running innovative campaigns to improve conditions for retail, warehouse, and essential workers everywhere. The pandemic has only increased the urgency and need for those campaigns, as working people rely on our support now, more than ever and it's why we need you.

We are fighting to ensure that Amazon and other large corporations can't influence policies and governments, and we are working to build power for working people everywhere. The extra support would do so much to help further this vital work.
