Weekly travel update in Nottingham 27 November - 4 December
Coronavirus update
The Government has announced that from Wednesday 2 December Nottingham will be placed under tier 3 restrictions until further notice. This means:
- You should avoid travelling outside your area, including for overnight stays, other than where necessary, such as for work or education
- Where travel is necessary, you should continue to follow very high tier social contact rules when you travel to a medium tier or high tier area
- You should look to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible
- It is essential you wear a face covering for the entirety of your journey if using public transport
- Plan ahead and avoid travelling at peak times and on busy routes if you can
- Keep your distance from others as best you can. If your usual journey looks busy and overcrowded, consider alternative transport options such as walking or cycling
- Always wash your hands before/after travelling and use available sanitising points
Download the NHS Covid19 Track & Trace app, to keep yourself and those you love protected. Find out more on how to download here...
Walking and Cycling
If you need to make a journey we encourage you to walk or cycle where possible. This will allow you to practise social distancing while you travel and minimise contact with others, helping to stop the spread of Covid-19.
As winter fast approaches, please take care when walking and cycling and ensure you have done all you can to stay safe and be seen.
- Wrap up warm with waterproofs and gloves
- Be safe, be seen - lights are essential for night time riding
- Give your bike some love and book a service with Dr Bike

E-scooter update
It’s been just over four weeks since a trial fleet of bright yellow electric scooters took to the streets...
E-scooters have the potential to offer a green, affordable, fun and easy way to travel short distances around the city, but we need to be sure they can work in practice. All the feedback we've received is fantastic and helps us and the operator – Wind Mobility – address emerging issues.
Visit our website for more information on how our e-scooter trial is going.
