Quantum Capes needed during the 81st Session of Nevada Legislature!
Hi Friend,

Happy Black Friday! I’m taking a day off work today, but I’ve already
planned what to wear next week. . .  A Quantum Superposition Cape.
Everyone at BBP has one – how else do you think we’re able to be in
multiple places at once?! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check
out Annette’s earlier email covering what we've been working on during the
2020 vortex we've all experienced – I’ve copied it below.

While you’re online shopping today (I figure this may be your choice
during this interminable pandemic), please [ [link removed] ]make a small investment in
BBP for #GivingTuesday. Consider it your gift to make sure our Quantum
Capes stay in working order. We’re going to need them during the 81^st
Session of the Nevada Legislature!

Reaching out to your legislators, giving testimony, and accessing
information about how legislation affects you -- all of that has changed.
Fortunately, BBP is built for change and built to be in two places at
once. We know how to organize, communicate, and engage digitally. We can
be at home, at the legislature, in your news sources, and on your social
all at once. This is how we bring you the information you need, educate
Nevadans about important progressive issues, and keep legislators engaged.

Your generosity keeps the progressive conversation in the spotlight.

Everywhere You Turn, BBP is There for You

As the world changed, so did BBP. We’re built for change!

During the summer, critical legislative decisions were under discussion in
two special legislative sessions. BBP was there working for you and
numerous partners on budget, taxation, voting, and healthcare policies.
Almost every day we live streamed community updates on Facebook with our
Out In Front series.

As we rolled into election season, we continued bringing you Out In Front.
We talked with Nevada legislators and community leaders about voting
rights and protections, pandemic resources, #CountEveryVote, ballot
questions, the 2020 Census, the Affordable Care Act, and many other key
issues.

Knowing voter turn-out was going to break records, early on we produced
and circulated the BBP Ballot Guide that offered you our perspective and
recommendations on each ballot question. This is the third election cycle
where we’ve produced a ballot guide.

During the height of Early Vote and through Election Day we turned our
energy toward Democracy Defense. Every day we worked with partners and
coalitions to combat misinformation and disinformation. Our goal: to
ensure you and every single Nevada voter got valid information about the
democratic process in Nevada.

What you probably didn’t see was all the work that underpins defending
democracy. BBP managed the Partner Resource Hub that produced training,
rapid response strategies, and communications resources.

As we supported our partners, we also reached out to our own lists. For
years BBP has utilized Social Media, Text, and Email Strategies to connect
Nevadans with information and resources. During the pandemic it was an
easy lift to increase this work around voting resources and non-partisan
voting education.

What’s Next? We’re taking all our strengths and know-how to Nevada’s
legislative season - Everywhere you look, BBP will be there for you!

February 1, 2021 marks the start of the 81st Session of the Nevada
Legislative. And as is our tradition, we’re hosting the annual Progressive
Summit on January 30 and 31. For 6 years, this has been Nevada’s
one-stop-shop for training, workshops, and break-out sessions designed to
educate and empower you and your community. This year we’ll cover a host
of subjects including: Digital Organizing, Pandemic Planning,
Redistricting in Nevada, and Digital Lobbying. Plus, you’ll enjoy sessions
covering every progressive topic you can imagine.

Then we’ll pivot to the 81st Session! To bring you relevant and
up-to-the-minute information during the Legislative Session, BBP will be
there with Out In Front livestreams. We’ll continue working with our
Partner Resource Hub to keep progressive legislation in the spotlight.
We’ll produce materials for the public and distribute them to legislators,
the public, and the press. And yes, we’ll be everywhere with Social Media,
Text, and Email Strategies engaging and empowering Nevadans. Oh! And there
will be Digital Lobby Days – stay tuned for details.

You can count on our experience and never-stop attitude to work for you.
For the issues that matter most to you, BBP knows how to deliver results
beyond election cycles.
