The Trump administration is considering drastically reducing refugee admissions – potentially as low as to zero next year. This policy will harm children like 5-year old Syrian Julia* who are fleeing war and violence. Tell the president and Congress that refugees should be welcome here!

John -

The Trump administration is expected to release a plan to greatly reduce refugee admissions in 2020, effectively denying safety and protection to some of the world’s most vulnerable.[1] This cruel cut comes at a time when more than 70 million people worldwide – half of whom are children – have had to flee their homes due to war and violence.

Children like Julia have experienced things no child should: violence, extreme hunger and fear. If this new plan is enacted, it will put the safety and lives of even more refugee children at risk, placing America out of reach for countless refugees in need.

The White House will release their decision by October 1, so we don’t have much time to act!

Please speak out for children and families who have nowhere else to go.

The world is facing its largest crisis of displaced people ever. Yet less than one percent of refugees are resettled worldwide. Typically, only the most vulnerable to more violence or torture are selected for resettlement. If the president further reduces the refugee cap even more children will miss out on the chance to be happy, healthy and safe in the United States.

We show our best as a country – and encourage other countries to follow suit – when we welcome the world’s most vulnerable.

We need to send a strong message to Congress and the Trump administration: refugees are welcome here!

Please speak out against this harmful refugee ban today!

Thank you for being a voice for kids,
