Dear John,
What does progress require? (Spoiler: It’s you.)
It’s Black Friday and I know there’s a lot of distraction online. But, if I still have your attention, then I invite you to consider something you can do today to transform the lives of all women and girls, whatever their lived experience or identity.
I am asking you to break the shopping routine and make a gift of $5, $25 or even $100 to help a feminist leader get closer to winning the change she is fighting for.
I hope you read Teresa’s email earlier this week and learned about our grantee partner, Pabitra Benjamin who is the executive director of Adhikaar in Queens, NY. Pabitra is one of hundreds of leaders the Ms. Foundation has supported over the past 47 years. Like each of them, she models the commitment, consistency, and vision that real progress demands.
We all know how good it feels to find the perfect gift for a loved one. But consider this: how good does it feel to know that you have helped to change the world? Your gift can do just that.
At the Ms. Foundation, we fund the work of grassroots leaders who are making the world better for everyone. We believe that progress only happens when women win on issues like pay equity, access to adequate healthcare, freedom from violence, and full autonomy to determine our own destinies and fully express our diverse identities and experiences.
Will you make a gift today to the “When Women Win” campaign to raise $100,000 by this Monday, November 30th?
Women will win when we are all invested in the vision of a better future. Let’s win this.
In solidarity,
Ruth McFarlane
VP of Advancement, Ms. Foundation for Women
P.S. Make a gift today!
