John,
2020 has been a year of immense change as countries across the world grapple with the economic and social impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
While Australia has been spared some of the horrendous scenes we’ve seen across the globe, hardworking Australians have borne the brunt of the economic cost with many losing jobs or struggling to make ends meet.
We need to chart a course for the post-COVID recovery and the north star for that course must be how we create more well-paid, secure jobs.
That’s why in March 2021 Labor will hold a Special Platform Conference to set Labor’s agenda by renewing our National Platform.
It will be a ground-breaking event – the first of its kind in Australia – as 400 delegates from across Australia will meet to debate Labor’s vision for the coming years.
And we want you to be there. We’ll stream our conference live online to all Labor members and supporters so that you can take part and hear from Labor Leader, Anthony Albanese, our Shadow Ministers and special guests. But we want to keep some of the action a surprise, so click here to sign up for updates on how you can take part.
We’ll have more to say in the new year about our conference and how you can take part.
As we get closer to the next federal election, Labor will need to take the fight up to the government so that we can help those hardworking Australians who need our help to make it through the COVID recession. Our Special Platform Conference is a crucial step on that journey, and we hope that you stay updated on how you can be a part of it.
