Please consider shopping small this Black Friday.

Hello! I hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of good food,
your favorite people, and new memories. As the day ends and the Black
Friday/Cyber Monday retail frenzy begins, I wanted to take a moment to
encourage you to shop small this year.

For the first time since I started my website back in 2012, I won't be
writing a new post filled with Amazon Prime links for Christmas gifts on
Black Friday. I won't be recommending things from big box stores or
giant corporations. (There are a few exceptions where those purchases do
support small business owners and authors, and I'll discuss that in the
article.)

After this crazy year, it's just too important to help our small
businesses stay afloat to recommend those other items.

Here's a guide to supporting small businesses, your favorite websites,
authors, artisans, and local folks this year when you do your Christmas
shopping.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

PS: You can also find some great deals from folks in the preparedness
community in this article.
