John,
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well this Thanksgiving.

However you are choosing to spend the holiday, I also hope today provides a measure of warmth and hopefulness in a year that has been all too difficult -- and even overwhelming some of the time.

Whether it's by Zoom, or a quick phone call -- or even an old-fashioned holiday card, I'll be enjoying catching up with family and friends in unique and creative ways this holiday season.

Along those lines, I especially want you to know how much I appreciate your support over the eight-plus years I've served as Oregon's Attorney General. I am deeply grateful for your continued confidence in me as I soon embark upon a third term, and I know I couldn't be doing this without you. Thank YOU!

And, yes, I am grateful that we have a new, incoming presidential administration on the way! I am thankful for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who -- together -- will restore civility and decency to the White House and will lead the way to a better, healthier future for our country.

I look forward to many opportunities in the coming year to discuss how we can work together to eradicate racial injustice and hate, stem the climate crisis, and work toward economic equality. But for this moment...

Best wishes for a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!
