Hey, John, We cannot express our gratitude enough. Thank you for all of the ways that you support the work that we do to prevent gun violence in Wisconsin. Thank you for showing up and for making a difference. Here are a few things you helped us accomplish in 2020... Together, WAVE staff and supporters promoted lifesaving public policy; engaged citizens, supporters, youth, and coalition partners; and developed public awareness about gun violence in Wisconsin. We fought against dangerous Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions in counties across Wisconsin, and we advocated for a reimagining of public safety to prevent police violence. WAVE members participated in so many powerful in-person and virtual events -- including the Milwaukee Strong vigil for the victims of the Molson Coors Shooting, our Unifying Wisconsin event, and our Concert for the Vote, featuring SistaStrings and Peter Yarrow (from Peter, Paul & Mary fame)! Over the summer, our six youth interns participated in online gun violence prevention advocacy and civic engagement! They cultivated strong friendships and developed useful skills. Check out their final projects here: https://waveedfund.org/2020-youth-summer-internship/. We also had a strong team of youth working on civic engagement. They helped register hundreds of voters and inspire even more people to participate in our democratic processes. Visit our website or our Facebook page for more photos of WAVE members in action from throughout the year! We are in this together, and we're grateful to be working beside you. From all of us at WAVE, we wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Jeri, Heidi, Kristina, Jacey, Deja, Stephanie, Debra, and the rest of our team P.S.
