Hi John,

As we celebrate this harvest time, I am grateful for your enduring support.

New York has always been a transformational city; a place where entrepreneurs, small business owners, college students and immigrants are able to dream big. But this year has been tough for us all. Whether you are stressed about your healthcare, a job, a home - or all three - 2020 has been a challenge.

As we prepare for the New Year, let’s remember:

We are New Yorkers. We will fight with grit and determination as New Yorkers always do to build a more equitable future. And it’s important that we not forget the origins of today and the harms inflicted on Native Americans. We can move forward by acknowledging how we got here.

These are extraordinary times. While we cannot embrace each other as we normally would in this season, we can fill our days with intention. Intention to build a better future for all New Yorkers. We can rebuild our city in part by caring for each other.

I wish for you and your loved ones to stay safe. Thank you for all that you do to keep our city moving.
