Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
This has been a difficult and painful year for our country and the world, but there is much to be thankful for today.
I’m thankful for our communities. Americans from every walk of life joined together in peaceful protest to demand racial justice, and turned out to elect diverse leaders that will put every-day American values first.
I’m thankful for our frontline workers. In the face of a deadly pandemic, healthcare workers, scientists, and essential employees have proven the greatness of America by making sacrifices to protect our communities.
I’m thankful for you. Together we rose up and made our voices clear. You sent me back to Congress and ended the rule of a divisive and bigoted administration — with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris due to be sworn in just weeks from now, I’m confident we’re winning the battle for the soul of this nation.
Thanksgiving is typically a time for us to come together and celebrate. But this is not a typical year. So, I encourage all of us to celebrate in a meaningful, thoughtful, and safe way. We owe that to ourselves and our community.
Friends, serving you in Congress is the honor of my life. Thank you for placing your confidence and trust in me.
I wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
With gratitude,
Mark
Since 2013, Mark Takano has represented the people of the Inland Empire in the United States House of Representatives, fighting for the region’s progressive priorities. He’s been a voice for veterans, seniors, students, local businesses and hardworking families. We need to hold our Democratic Congressional majority now more than ever. The leadership of Democrats like Mark will be critical to holding Trump accountable and ensuring the healing of our country during this challenging time. Please help us keep Mark in Congress fighting for our Democratic values by contributing today!
