Last Chance for Animals' (LCA) 34th Annual Fur-Free Friday demonstration is almost here! Join LCA in protesting fur on the biggest shopping day of the year - Black Friday, Nov. 27th, 2020! California's fur ban (AB44) passed in early 2019, outlawing the sale and manufacture of fur products statewide, and goes into effect January 2023. Beverly Hills retailers are being urged to ban fur now! See below for protest details.
This year, the protest is also spreading awareness on the developing news that mink fur farms are spreading COVID-19 in Europe. There have been COVID outbreaks on mink farms in 8 countries. Millions of minks are being culled to stop the spread. In Europe, over 200 people have become sick with a mink-related form of COVID-19. Now more than ever, it is time to call for a global ban on fur!
