The COVID-19 outbreak has demonstrated the catastrophic risk that live animal markets and the urban bushmeat trade pose on transmitting emerging diseases and the devastating impact pandemics can have on society and the economy. With global attention on the health risks of the wildlife trade, now is the time for WildAid to accelerate massive anti-wildlife consumption and anti-poaching campaigns tailored for key countries in Asia and Africa to put an end to the wild animal trade, reduce demand and protect both animals and humans.
Our unique model to drive change, can significantly reduce the wildlife trade by dissuading 87 million people in China, Vietnam and Thailand alone from purchasing and using wildlife products over the next 2 years.
